The adinkra symbol called Sankofa  is a word in the Twi language of Ghana that means “go back and get it” it is symbolised by a bird with its feet facing forward and its head facing towards its back. The spirit of Sankofa means taking from your past the things what are good and bringing them all into the present to make progress in the future.
This acrylic painting is 11x14 in size and can be framed or wall mounted as is.
